Candida / Gardnerella Panel
Candida albicans causes yeast infections (candidiasis), ranging from thrush and vaginitis to, in severely immunocompromised people, systemic infection.
Gardnerella vaginalis normally lives in the vagina without symptoms, but overgrowth causes bacterial vaginosis, with a grey-white discharge and a strong odour.
