Human bocavirus (HBoV) has been found in infants and children with respiratory tract illness, other symptoms including gastrointestinal symptoms and skin rash have been reported. It is suggested that bocavirus is mainly spread to other humans by respiratory secretions. However, it can also be found in stool and in blood, which may be alternative ways of virus spreading.
