Carigen’s test systems enable the simple and reliable detection of beef, horsemeat, chicken and pork in food and feed samples.
The technology utilized uses DNA extracted from the meat product’s DNA in combination with real-time PCR. Unlike ELISA-based methods, our ID systems detect both raw and processed meat and provide sensitivity down to 0.01% of the target DNA.
