Our meat ID systems detect the presence of DNA extracted from meat samples in different meat types or from samples from your industrial processing equipment.

Carigen’s test systems enable the simple and reliable detection of beef, horsemeat, chicken and pork in food and feed samples.

The technology utilized uses DNA extracted from the meat product’s DNA in combination with real-time PCR. Unlike ELISA-based methods, our ID systems detect both raw and processed meat and provide sensitivity down to 0.01% of the target DNA.
