CX Bladder

A non-invasive genomic urine test that helps rule out bladder cancer in people with blood in the urine, and monitors for recurrence.

Cxbladder: Rule Out Bladder Cancer

Cxbladder is an advanced genomic test that analyzes five biomarker genes to help rule out bladder cancer. This non-invasive test is designed to help rule out urothelial bladder cancer in patients experiencing blood in the urine (hematuria), and to monitor for recurrent disease in those who have been treated for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.

Thankfully most patients with blood in the urine will not have bladder cancer, but it is best to be sure. Cxbladder can reliably rule out urothelial cancer in those presenting with microhematuria, reducing the need for further invasive procedures where the probability of bladder cancer is low, while ensuring those who do need immediate care get it sooner.

Blood in the urine may be visible as red or pink coloring (gross hematuria) or invisible to the naked eye (microhematuria). Your doctor will want to understand the cause, which may include:

  • Bladder or kidney stones
  • Kidney infections and injuries
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Other medical illnesses
  • Bladder cancer, for which blood in the urine is the most common symptom and often the first sign. It can also indicate cancer in other urologic organs such as the kidney

Cxbladder Monitor

  • A non-invasive surveillance alternative for patients treated for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer
  • In suitable cases after TURBT, can reduce the frequency of invasive cystoscopy
  • When no recurrence has been detected after several years, may be an alternative to cystoscopy after consulting your physician
