Confirming the Mother-Child Relationship
The DNA Maternity Test confirms whether a woman is the biological mother of a child. Samples from the child and mother are tested at 22 DNA markers, producing a genetic profile for each person. The child’s profile is compared with the mother’s and a statistical probability of maternity is calculated.

Samples are collected by authorized individuals at collection sites across the region, with photographs, ID (national ID, passport or driver’s licence) and fingerprints for each person. Additional fees apply if court appearances are required.
